Friday Favorites #5 – 2/17

Welcome to this week’s Friday Favorites! This week I pondered the idea of making this a monthly thing instead of weekly because sometimes it feels like I have trouble coming up with exciting things in my mundane life…but then I realized that’s kind of the point haha. One thing I want to mention before I do my list – remember how I mentioned Lady Gaga’s halftime show as one of my favorite things last week? Wellllllll me and some friends got tickets to her tour this week! So excited to see one of my favs in concert in just a few months!

Anyway.. on to this week’s list! 🙂

Titanic

pjapoju

Okay I’m putting this one first so that anyone who is going to judge me can get it out of the way early haha. Sometimes when you’re having a bad day or you have cramps or a headache or you’re just sad or tired OR all of the above, you just want to watch a movie that you know will make you cry and get all your emotions out. Titanic is always a go-to for me when I want to have a good cathartic cry. I watched it this week and I only cried three times. Honestly this could be a favorite every time I watch it because I’m always amazed all over again at how good it is!!! Will there ever be another pairing as adorable and perfect as young Kate and Leo? Will there ever be a better end credits song than Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On?? Can we please get a re-release for the 20th anniversary this year???

Spaceship Earth Mug and Gevalia Caramel Macchiato K-Cups

coffee

This mug is one of two that Chris got me for Christmas and I absolutely love it!! First of all it’s gigantic and can hold so much of whatever I’m drinking. I also love how the bottom is supported by “legs” if you will, so I don’t have to use a coaster under it. And of course I love Epcot so this mug is perfect for me!! It’s just so cute and clever and I love using it. Staying on the subject of mugs and coffee – I recently got these Caramel Macchiato K-Cups at Target and I absolutely love them!!! They’re super sweet and delicious and don’t taste like coffee at all, which is a plus for me. I like these even better than the Starbucks caramel latte ones :0

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay

mask

I first read about this product a few weeks ago and a few youtubers I watch have mentioned it too – it’s basically a jar of clay powder that you mix with apple cider vinegar to make a mask. Honestly it seemed a little hokey at first – the jar says you can “feel your face pulsate!” I was a bit concerned that I was going to summon evil spirits rather than clear my pores but I decided to give it a try. The vinegar made it REEK to high heavens but I carried on. Toward the end of the 20 minutes I actually could feel my face pulsing like it said! It was so weird. It felt like my skin was being sucked off my face. I washed it off with warm water and my skin was pretty red afterwards (which the jar says is normal) but it also felt VERY clear and fresh. I was skeptical but this mask gave me pretty much immediate results and I’ll definitely be using it again.

Clean My Space on Youtube

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYxG7x-hpy4]

I stumbled upon Clean My Space a while back, but I rediscovered them recently when I found this video about cleaning your makeup area. They started as a husband and wife cleaning business and originally made their youtube channel to get more clients, but it’s grown into a hugely successful thing now and they have their own line of microfiber cloths as well as a book coming out. I really like their videos because they’re straightforward but descriptive, and they have a how-to guide for cleaning or organizing literally every part of your house and life. They also have videos about saving money and other cool tips and tricks. I think it’s a really informative and helpful youtube channel and their videos could benefit pretty much anyone!!

That’s all for this week! I hope you had a great week and enjoyed this week’s Friday Favorites! 🙂 Here’s this week’s cute Teddy photo to finish us off:
