Friday Favorites #6 – 2/24

Hello again and welcome to my Friday Favorites for this week! I’m realizing this is quickly becoming just a recap of all the things I did this week that were out of the ordinary but I guess there’s nothing wrong with that haha

Newsies on Broadway

Starting off with a big one this week!! Newsies has been one of my favorite musicals for ages and I’ve been following the show basically since the beginning. I love the movie, I’ve seen the musical twice (once on Broadway and once on tour) ….I’m just obsessed with it. So when they announced that they were filming the show to release in movie theatres, obviously I snatched up tickets immediately. And it was just SO incredible ;_; It just reminded me how much I love the show and it’s amazing how a show about the turn of the century is still relevant today. I teared up so many times and by the end I was fully crying without shame. It just made me so happy to see it again and I hope they release the recording on DVD too, and do this with more musicals in the future. I didn’t think I was still an obsessive Newsies fan but I totally am!!!

The Monte Cristo I had for lunch this week

monte-cristo

This is something of a tragic story…I found a local restaurant really close to us that serves a Monte Cristo and I was so eager to try it and see if it was as good as the one in Disneyland. It was AMAZING and made me super nostalgic for our trip but I couldn’t finish the whole thing, so I asked for a to-go box. Wellllll I FORGOT MY BOX ON THE TABLE ;____; It was seriously so traumatic and I’m still so sad that I don’t get to enjoy a delicious leftover Monte Cristo today. But this was still one of my favorite parts of the week and I will definitely be going back to get it again hahaha

Ham & Cheese Croissant at Epcot’s France Pavilion

One of my favorite pavilions at Epcot is France, thanks in part to their delicious food. I like sampling all the little desserts and savory items but my favorite by far is the ham & cheese croissant. I had this when we went to the park this week and it’s pretty much my go-to Epcot snack for when I want something small but filling. They toast it for you so it’s warm and gooey, and it’s only about $5! It’s become one of my favorite things to eat in Epcot.

Girl Scout Cookies

Didn’t mean to write about so many food items this week but here we are! I ordered some cookies from my coworker and they came in this week. I truly forget how good Samoas are until I have my first one of the season. There’s nothing quite like it. Thank you Girl Scouts of America for this gift to my tastebuds. In fact, I think I didn’t buy enough…anyone want to hook me up with another purchase??

r_ose on instagram

I’m about to admit something that may or may not surprise you – I follow MANY dog instagram accounts. Like, I’d estimate probably 50 or so. I just really like dogs!! I still haven’t decided if I’m going to make Teddy his own yet, but I love following other people’s dogs, especially Pomeranians. One of my absolute favorites is r_ose, a dog owner of TWENTY!! furry friends. According to their facebook page they have 15 Pomeranians, 3 Huskies, a Chihuahua and a Beagle. The owner remains anonymous but I am OBSESSED with their dogs!!! They even have one named Teddy just like me <3 I could scroll through her page for hours (and I maybe have….)

Those are my favorites from this week! Hope you liked this post and thanks for reading 🙂
