Welcome to my first Friday Favorites for the month of March! I can’t believe we are already in MARCH 2017…this year is going by so fast! Here’s my favorite things from this week:
Trolls
Just like when I wrote about Titanic a few weeks ago, I’m gonna start off with this so I can get it out of the way quickly and everyone can make fun of me right away haha. One of my friends brought in Trolls to work for us to watch in the break room. At first I thought it was going to be super dumb but HONESTLY it is so cute!!! It has an adorable female lead character which I obviously love, and the whole movie is literally about their quest to be happy and help others be happy. Like I can’t believe how good and funny this movie is. Me and my coworkers (with me being the youngest at age 23) are all unironically obsessed with it now and I refuse to apologize haha

I recently subscribed to Mariah Leonard’s channel and I pretty much immediately fell in love with her videos. I like her a lot because she is SO articulate and explains everything very well. I can really understand exactly what message she’s trying to convey every time. I watched this video about doing a foundation-less routine and actually was able to follow along and do it myself, and she responded to me when I tweeted at her too! She just seems extremely down to earth and I love her personality. She’s definitely one of my new favorites.
Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb
I actually just finished this product this week and I’m so sad it’s gone. I got this sent to me for free from BzzAgent (I’ll write a post about them in the future probably) and I actually loved it?? It was a super cool gel consistency and was true to its name of “moisture bomb”. I love it as a nighttime moisturizer and it also smelled SO good. It reminded me of the Belif Aqua Bomb moisturizer but I actually like it a bit better! Once I go through a few more of the 1000 moisturizers I have I will likely get this again.
99% Invisible Podcast
This is something I just started listening to this week but I already really love it and wanted to share. This podcast is about things that go overlooked or unnoticed most of the time in life – things like where dollar store items come from, the story behind the NBC chime, who actually responds to letters written to the White House, and how they make food look more appetizing on commercials. It’s all things that may sound mundane normally, but imo it’s really interesting to hear their background. I’ve been listening to it on the way to work these days and I feel like I’m actually learning a lot of really cool stuff. And the narrator has a great podcast voice!! I highly recommend giving it a try if you like learning about random/weird things.

And to no one’s surprise…I decided to make Teddy an instagram at last hahaha. I knew it would happen eventually and here it is. If you care to follow my adorable puppy, you can find him at teddypomstagram. Now I’m just waiting for him to get more followers than me hahah
Frugal February Update
I do want to also mention that this week ended my February no buy (Frugal February) and it went really well! I followed all my rules and I saved a LOT of money, and was able to pay off both my credit cards completely! It helps that I also got my tax return this month so I ended up way ahead of the game, and it was a perfect time to do a no buy. And now that it’s over, I’m not going to jump right back into spending money wildly or anything like that haha…I’m going to try to keep some of the habits I made during the month and save more money all the time. Every time I do a no buy I find new ways to save money or organize my spending and I think they really help me a lot!
