Happy Friday and welcome to this week’s Friday favorites! I am finding as I write these posts that (at least to me) it is kind of making it obvious how boring my life is haha because I kind of have to reach sometimes to find 4-6 things that I liked that week. But it’s making me appreciate the little things I guess, so…¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Clothes Shopping…on Amazon
I don’t know why I don’t buy more of my clothes on Amazon, because I buy literally everything else there. Amazon Prime is a gift from God. Recently I was looking for some cheaper options for business casual clothes, and everything is just so bloody expensive that I was getting discouraged…until I started looking on Amazon. They have such a great selection of everything skirts, dresses, blazers… You have to do a little digging to find the really good stuff, but who knew Amazon had so many good deals on clothes??? Also I’m watching a youtube video while I write this and the ad before the video was for Amazon Fashion…they’re watching me
To go along with my attempts to live healthier, I recently became interested in making healthy smoothies. We don’t own a blender right now, so I did some research on bullet blenders that make single-serving smoothies. I ended up with the Nutri Ninja and I LOVE it. You can put anything in there and it blends up so nicely into a beautiful smoothie. The cups that come with it are perfect for making smoothies and taking them to work with me. I’ve also loved making them after a workout, it’s so re-energizing!!
…in the same vein, I wanted to share one of my favorite smoothie recipes I’ve been making lately! I won’t lie, the first time I made this I was like “welp…hope this doesn’t taste disgusting” and I was scared it would be nasty hahaha but it actually tastes amazing!! I adapted it from a recipe I found online. This is obviously not the smoothie in the photo above on the blender, that’s another one that I also love especially cuz of the beautiful pink color!
- 1 1/2 cup baby spinach
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 1 whole banana
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon vanilla protein powder
As for the directions…all you have to do is put everything in the blender in that order and blend! I also don’t actually measure out anything in there haha, like the spinach I just do like 2 handfuls, the chia seeds and protein powder are always just a spoonful…just eyeball it. The best part is that if you use frozen fruit you don’t have to use ice! This smoothie is SO good and I love having it after a workout!!
Epcot “You Are Here” Mug
I don’t know why I didn’t already own this mug, honestly. When we went to the park this week I finally decided to take the plunge and buy it. I am hopelessly obsessed with Epcot – I would spend all my time there if I could. I love the “You Are Here” mugs from Starbucks. I have a few from other places including the original Starbucks in Seattle as well as the Disneyland one. They’re a great size and the designs are so cute!
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in “Double Dare”
I know… I write about these lipsticks like every 5 minutes. But this is my absolute favorite okay. I’m mentioning it this week because I’m actually almost out of it??? Like, my tube is noticeably lighter and I have to re-dip the applicator 3-4 times to get enough product. I don’t know what I’m going to do when this one is gone, it’s my everything!!! I’ve never gotten close to finishing a lip product before this is so wild. Will my obsession with KVD lipsticks ever stop? Not likely.
Here’s this week’s cute Teddy photo:
Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for reading! 🙂
