I cannot believe we’re already halfway through April. My birthday is only TEN DAYS away!!! This week has been busy again – here are my favorite things from it:
The New Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer

I actually just watched this THIS MORNING but it was highly relevant to my life and I had to include it in this post. First of all, it’s very convenient that new Star Wars movies are consistently coming out on or around Chris and my anniversary of December 16th (though I guess we won’t be celebrating that one after our wedding!) Second of all…this trailer is amazing!!!!! I want more! All of it looks good but omg I can’t wait to see Rey training to be a Jedi…I saw Force Awakens 4 times in theatres and it’s lookin like I’ll be seeing this one a lot too. I can’t wait for December 15!!
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
Switching gears here haha but this was one of my favorite makeup items this week. I got this Smashbox primer in a Sephora box last year and I’m almost out of it, and was fretting earlier this week about it because I don’t wanna spend $$$ to get a new one. Wellllll lucky for me, I got another sample of it in a box this week haha. Perfect timing! I love this primer because it mattifies my skin SO well and my makeup goes on so smoothly on top of it. NYX makes a primer that is a really close match to this one, but the Smashbox one makes my skin feel like…velvety smooth and soft. It’s amazing and I love it!!
EcoTools Perfecting Blender Duo
Moving right along in the makeup category, I have been loving these blending sponges from EcoTools! You already know I have several other makeup sponges, but I am always looking for the best one and I recently picked these up at Target. It’s less squishy and more firm than a Beauty Blender and I feel like it absorbs less product as well. The thing I absolutely LOVE though is the shape! The flat, almost chiseled-looking edge is perfect for using powder to set under my eyes and getting into really small spaces. It’s nice to have another beauty blender-like product to use when I don’t feel like washing my other ones…and also, apologies that they’re so dirty in this pic haha
Clif Bars
And so continues my quest to find the most delicious protein bars. Last week I talked about the ThinkThin bars which I like a lot, and I recently tried Clif Bars and I absolutely LOVE them! I was hesitant at first due to the image of the man scaling the side of a cliff on the package – I assumed these were going to taste like the nasty camping food that everyone who camps swears is actually delicious. I also knew my family likes Clif bars when they go hiking and stuff and I don’t like hiking and stuff so I didn’t know if liking those two things are correlated. But my hesitation was for naught and these are delicious! It tastes more like “healthy” food than the ThinkThin ones, but it doesn’t taste like cardboard either. I’ve been eating these as snacks and breakfast a lot and my favorite flavor so far is chocolate chip 😀
A Perfect Grilled Cheese
Okay this one is something simple but for some reason it made me so happy this week haha. I’ve been making myself a grilled cheese after work and it’s just…lovely. It’s like just so joyous and simplistic to whip myself up this perfect snack every day. I don’t know why it’s brought me so much childlike joy to make these every day but it has haha. Also the photo up there is one I made today for lunch and I was so excited to eat it that I forgot to take the pic until halfway through lol
