What I Bought at the Sephora Cast Sale

It’s been a while since I wrote a haul-type post, but today seemed like a suitable occasion! Twice a year the Sephora at Disney Springs has Cast Member discount days, where CMs can get 20% off everything in the store by showing their ID. One of those instances was this past weekend!!! I managed to get out of there having spent less than $100 after my discount and gift cards. These might not be the most interesting types of posts to read but I like writing them and this is my blog and I do what I want lol

I’ll start out with a big one I knew I definitely wanted when I was curating my sale list. This is the Kate Somerville UncompliKated SPF 50 Soft Focus Makeup Setting Spray:

I’ve been wanting a new setting spray for a while, and I had been particularly curious about one with SPF (I mentioned this in a post a while back). When my friends came to visit a few weeks ago, Ana picked up this one to try and we all liked it, so I decided to get it for myself! It is AMAZING so far. The mist is so fine, it feels like nothing on your face. It also smells great and locks in my makeup for the whole day!

Next I got this face primer by Becca:

This is the Evermatte Poreless Primer. This came as another recommendation from Ana haha. I’ve been having trouble recently with my foundation wearing off around my nose and T-zone, and she recommended this to try. This primer is a little weird – you have to warm it up first and pat it on to your skin, rather than rubbing it in like most primers. But I was absolutely SHOCKED how well it works!! I wore it for the first time and was legitimately amazed at how good my makeup looked by the end of the day. This combined with the setting spray are my new go-to combination!

My next item is another one I knew I would get going into the sale. It’s Kat Von D Lock-It Blotting Powder:

How cute is the packaging – it looks like a little wax seal!! Similar to what I said above, I’ve been wanting to work on improving how long my makeup lasts during the day, especially since it’s so hot and sweaty here in Florida right now. We already know I LOVE Kat Von D’s makeup, so I decided to try this powder after reading some great reviews. I have to say it worked really well for me! It’s really good at absorbing any oily spots without messing up my other makeup.

This next one is my last “big” item – aka the last thing that cost more than $10 haha. It’s a new Beauty Blender!

This time I got the black one which is the “pro” version. I currently have a pink and a nude one that are getting kinda grungy, so it was time for a new one. This pro one is supposed to be different from the others but I honestly can’t tell a difference?? It works just as well though so no complaints here!

Then like I said I got a bunch of little smaller things. These are pretty much all from that little aisle at the end, just before the checkout, where they put all the travel-sized or mini items that you just throw in your bag. This is where they get you!! Well, I was got because I got a bunch of things haha. First I got this beautiful glass nail file:

I’ve been needing one for a while and figured now was as good a time as any to pick one up. It’s pink and pretty and comes with a little case. Not that exciting but necessary.

Then I got a bunch of sheet masks:

I got two old favorites and two new ones to try. First my old standbys – the Sephora Collection Face and Eye Masks:

I love the green tea sheet mask for days when I have breakouts or other flare ups, it’s really soothing and nice (especially if you put it in the fridge first). I also got my favorite eye mask, the pearl one. I love to wear these at the end of a long day to relax.

Then the two new ones:

First is the Egg Cream Mask for Pore Tightening. It seems like a standard sheet mask and I’ve been focusing on my pores lately so it should come in handy. The second one is Boscia Tsubaki Oil Deep Hydration Hydrogel Mask. This one looks a little different. From the picture it looks to be a more gel-like mask in two parts, one for the upper half of your face and one for the lower half. I’m excited to try this one out also.

And then finally, they have a deal where if you buy three items from the “travel-size” aisle, you get this little bag for free!

It’s super cute and TSA approved 🙂

And that’s everything I got! Not a bad haul, I think. I am honestly SO happy with everything… the combination of the primer, setting spray and blotting powder has worked wonders for me in particular. I hope you enjoyed seeing all my sale choices, and let me know if you have any suggestions for other new things for me to try! Thanks for reading 🙂
