July 2017 Favorites

Hello and welcome to this month’s favorites!! I meant to post this a few days ago but honestly I forgot lol…I’ve even had a little list going of things that I wanted to include and I still forgot! Oh well. Here are the things I loved this month – there’s actually a lot!!

Beautiful Nutrition Lemon Rinse Clarifying Hair Treatment

The first item this month is a beauty item, and it’s actually one that I got in a Target Beauty Box a few months ago! This is a product used to rinse your hair and remove excess product buildup, as well as cleanse the oiliness and make your hair more shiny. I tried this product from the Target box and loved it and I ended up buying the full size. It works so well for my hair! I use it about once a week and it makes my hair so soft and smooth, and also lets me go longer between washes as it rids my hair of excess oil. And for less than $10 the price can’t be beat!!

Walky Dog Cooling Mat

Next up we have a puppy thing! My mom recommended this item to me – it’s a cooling mat for Teddy to lay on when it’s hot outside. You don’t have to freeze it or anything, it has some kind of gel inside that naturally cools the mat. I think at first Teddy was confused about how it worked and didn’t really understand what it was haha but now he really likes it! He lays on it usually after we come inside from a walk and it keeps him cool. Especially now between haircuts when his fur is a little longer, it’s nice to be able to help him stay a bit cooler in the summer! It looks like the only sizes available on Amazon now are large and XL, but I have the small size for Teddy which is 19.75″ x 15.75″.

Oil Diffusing

Something I have gotten into this past month is oil diffusing! I got this essential oil diffuser on Amazon for Prime Day and I’ve been using it a lot to relax and just make our place smell nice. I really like this diffuser because it has a color changing light and looks really fancy like it came from a spa or something haha. I also got a few sets of essential oils to go with it. There are SO many good sets on Amazon but I really like this set of “summer” scents (our favorites are mountain rain and sweet pea) and this one of more fruity/floral scents. I also got this set of 8 essential oils, which I like but the scents are very strong and I feel work better for cleaning or other projects rather than diffusing. But they still smell good! I’ve really enjoyed using the diffuser and I think I’m set for scents for a while now.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup

I’ve mentioned this foundation more than a few times now but omg…it’s quickly becoming an all-time favorite. It’s just perfect for me! The shade 0.5 is pretty much an exact color match for me and it lasts all day long. It’s very thin and feels weightless on my skin, and never looks or feels cakey. It has a finish that’s not 100% matte, but it doesn’t transfer on me and it dries down pretty much completely. It’s also a decent amount of coverage for me without looking too heavy. The only things I slightly dislike about it are the price ($40, RIP) and that it’s SO thin that it’s almost runny at times, which can make application difficult. But I love it so much that I will continue to use it honestly haha. I finished up my first bottle last month and scraped out as much as I could with the Beauty Spatula, and just repurchased it recently. It’s an amazing product and I’m really glad to have discovered it!

Big Brother

Everyone needs a good trashy summer tv show to watch, and Big Brother fits the bill for me. If you’ll recall from my Big Brother Houseguests Reviewed post, I had high hopes for some of them, but it turns out all of them suck! Everyone has turned into Paul’s little minions, and they’re all horrible so it just comes down to who is acting the least horrible at any given point. The people I still moderately like are Kevin, Elena (if she stops being a minion), Mark maybe, and Jessica and Cody are trash but I have to root for them because they’re slightly less trash than everyone else. And yet despite everyone on the show being horrible, it’s still a great guilty pleasure show and you can bet that I watch live feeds frequently hahah

becca

Becca Evermatte Poreless Perfecting Primer

Another makeup product! This is another one I’ve talked about a few times. I got it at the Sephora cast member sale back in June and I am obsessed with it. There’s a bit of a learning curve to this primer in that you can’t just rub it on your face, you have to pat it in to targeted areas. And it is SUPER mattifying. This probably wouldn’t be the best for anyone with dryer skin because it can end up looking splotchy if you don’t use it just right, and I imagine that would be exaggerated on anyone with dry skin. But it’s amazing! I use it on my t-zone and chin and it makes my makeup last all day long. Seriously a game changer!

Ben & Jerry’s Pint Slices

Next we have a food item! This seems so silly but I have been so into these ice cream bars lately it’s embarrassing. I first tried them on a whim a few months ago and now I get them pretty much consistently??? It’s basically just a slice of the ice cream flavor with a chocolatey coating on top that tastes almost exactly like a Mickey Bar coating. I don’t know why I’m so obsessed with these but I am. I tried the Stephen Colbert flavor and I didn’t like it as much – I’ll stick to my trusty cookie dough from now on.

D23 Announcements

And finally – I already wrote a whole post on how I feel about the latest announcements at D23, but it’s worth mentioning here because I can’t stop thinking about the Ratatouille ride we’re getting in France. I’ve been so excited about everything!!! It’s going to be such a fun time to be working at Walt Disney World and I’m so excited to see it all come together. I’ve just gotta make sure I can get over to Studios and Epcot sometime before the 13th to get on Great Movie Ride and Ellen one last time!

That’s my favorites for the month of July! I was proud of myself for actually remembering to make a list of things throughout the month so I could have a nice list haha. Hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for reading 🙂
