    July 2017 Favorites

Hello and welcome to this month’s favorites!! I meant to post this a few days ago but honestly I forgot lol…I’ve even had a little list going of things that I wanted to include and I still forgot! Oh well. Here are the things I loved this month – there’s actually a lot!! Beautiful Nutrition Lemon Rinse Clarifying Hair Treatment The first item this month is a beauty item, and it’s actually one that I got in a Target Beauty Box a few months ago! This is a product used to rinse your hair and remove excess product buildup, as…

What’s in My Travel Toiletry Bag

Today I come to you with another of my “what’s in my bag” -style posts! Previously I’ve covered what’s in my work bag and what’s in my parks bag. In this one I’m sharing what I have in my toiletries bag for traveling. This post is mostly inspired by the fact that Chris and I are heading to Pittsburgh this weekend to visit family and I had to pack this bag anyway, but also partially because my new toiletry bag is the cutest thing EVER: It looks like the Disney Magical Express!!!!!!!! How cute is this!!!!! I saw this at…

How I Clean My Makeup Brushes

A few months ago I had a post about how to deep clean your beauty blenders, and I got a lot of nice feedback and messages saying it was really helpful! I decided to do a follow up post about how I wash my actual makeup brushes. After all, they need cleaning too! Washing makeup brushes is honestly a bit of a chore, but it is an absolutely necessary one. I used to wash them less frequently than I do now (we’re talking YEARS ago when I first got into makeup) but I noticed that I got more breakouts on…

    Review: The Beauty Spatula

Continuing my trend of doing review posts for individual items, today I have a review of another recent addition to my collection. In this post I’ll be reviewing the Beauty Spatula: The full name is the “Every Drop Beauty Spatula”, named as such because it’s designed to help you get every drop out of your makeup! The idea is that you can use it to scoop out  makeup product at the end of the bottle that’s difficult to get out. I’ve been meaning to buy this or something like it for a while and I finally took the plunge and…

I get emails from My Subscription Addiction to remind me when each box goes on sale! My Everyday Makeup – Summer 2017

Today I bring to you a post that I’ve been meaning to do forever and finally decided to sit down and take the photos for it! This is my everyday makeup look that I wear pretty much every day during the summer. Since I like to try out new things frequently, it’s hard to really call anything my “daily” look – but these are my current go-to things for summer! I get asked about my makeup at work literally every day by both coworkers and guests, and how I get it to stay locked in during hot and sweaty days –…

Analysis of a Beauty Box: Sephora Play

This is a post I’ve wanted to write for a long time and I’m so excited to finally do it! I mentioned in my most recent (and final, for now) review post of Sephora Play that I had unsubscribed from the box for the time being. I cancelled my subscription because I felt like I was getting more samples than I could use in a reasonable amount of time, and I could have been using my money toward things I actually wanted instead. I have also mentioned in the past that I love spreadsheets and keep them for pretty much…

    Empties April-June 2017

It’s that time again for another empties post! If you remember in my last one, I decided to start doing them every few months instead of monthly because…empties posts are kind of boring haha. But I still wanted to write something so here we are! This time I’m writing about the products I used up from April to June. Like last time, there’s a lot here so I won’t do full reviews, but I’ll use a <3 to designate things I loved/would buy again(/have bought again) and a 🙁 to denote things I hated! Stay tuned for some stats about my…

    June 2017 Favorites

Welcome to this month’s Favorites post! June felt like it was both ridiculously long and flew by super quickly. I can’t believe we are already halfway through 2017. Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium Straightening Iron When my pals were here last month, one of the little things I loved was getting ready together. Ana had brought her straightener with her and I was curious to see how it worked on me, a person with hair that cannot hold a style to save my life. But I was really surprised when it worked super well on me! I loved the look so…

    Review: The Makeup Eraser

Hi friends! Today I bring you a review of a somewhat strange product that I grabbed on a whim when I was at Sephora a few weeks ago: This is the Makeup Eraser Makeup Remover Cloth. I had been curious about this for a while. It’s one of those products that they put in the aisle while you’re queued up to check out to try and lure you in to throwing one more thing in your basket. Clearly that strategy worked for them in this case. The Makeup Eraser is a soft towel used to remove makeup with warm water. The idea…
